Could you use your Early Years skills to help young children learn, grow, and become more confident every day? GSL Education Newcastle Branch are welcoming applications from caring and enthusiastic Level 2 Early Years Educators to work in schools and Early Years settings across Middlesbrough. This position would suit individuals who enjoy supporting young children through play, practical activities, and everyday learning experiences.
The L2 Early Years Educator helps children develop important communication, social, physical, and early learning skills within a safe and positive environment.
Level 2 Early Years Educator Responsibilities:
- Support children during play-based learning and planned activities
- Help young learners develop speaking, listening, and social skills
- Prepare simple resources and activities suited to different stages of development
- Encourage creativity, curiosity, sharing, and independence
- Observe children’s development and share relevant information with staff
- Support daily routines while maintaining a safe and organised environment
Level 2 Early Years Educator Requirements:
- Level 2 Early Years qualification or equivalent is desirable
- Previous experience working with young children in a school setting or similar
- Understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
- Caring, patient, and responsible approach to supporting children
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
