Science Teacher - Leicester
GSL Education are working in partnership with a 'Good' rated secondary school in Leicester, recently praised for its supportive and inclusive environment, to recruit a Science Teacher for a long-term position with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and committed Science Teacher who is keen to make a positive impact within a well-established and forward-thinking department. The role is due to start after February half term, although an earlier start is available for suitable candidates.
The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective Science lessons across KS3 and KS4, with the opportunity to teach KS5 depending on experience and specialism. You will be supported by a strong leadership team that places staff wellbeing, professional development, and student progress at the heart of the school’s ethos.
The ideal candidate will:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
Have experience teaching Science at secondary level
- Hold a clear & enhanced DBS registered to the update service
Demonstrate strong classroom management and effective behaviour strategies
Be enthusiastic, adaptable, and committed to high standards of teaching and learning
Be passionate about working in an inclusive and supportive school environment
