About the Role
As an Early Years Support Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting children aged 2-5 years as they learn, explore, and develop essential skills.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Supporting children's learning through play-based activities
- Assisting with the delivery of engaging Early Years learning experiences
- Supporting children's social, emotional, and communication development
- Working with individuals and small groups to encourage participation and progress
- Helping to create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment
- Assisting with classroom and activity preparation
- Supporting children with additional needs where required
- Promoting positive behaviour and independence
What We're Looking For
The successful candidate will:
- Have experience working with young children in a nursery, pre-school, school, childcare, or similar setting
- Be caring, patient, and enthusiastic
- Have a genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development
- Demonstrate strong communication and teamwork skills
- Be adaptable and willing to support a range of Early Years settings
- Understand the importance of safeguarding and child wellbeing
Relevant qualifications in Childcare, Early Years, Health and Social Care, or Education are desirable but not essential.
