Salary: The salary for this role is £29,000 per annum.

Location: Kings Place, 90 York Way, Kings Cross, London N1.

Hybrid working: We support hybrid working. This particular role would ideally be in the office at least 3 days per week and up to 2 days working remotely.

Through our news and media literacy programmes, we empower children and young people with the critical skills they need to navigate and engage with news in an informed way.

About the Role:

  • Coordinate and manage bookings for our education programmes, including diary planning, scheduling school sessions, sending out partnership agreements, and arranging virtual session invites.
  • Assist with the collation of evaluation information from project participants and support internal and external reporting.
  • Liaise with teachers, facilitators, and programme teams to ensure smooth delivery of workshops and sessions.
  • Monitor the costs and budget of projects and programmes, and undertake regular financial reporting.
  • Process financial transactions, including purchase orders, invoices, and payment requests, ensuring accuracy and compliance with policies.
  • Arrange travel, accommodation, and catering for programme activities as required.
  • Help create reports, presentations, and other communications materials as needed.
  • Support safeguarding and GDPR compliance processes.

About You:

  • Proven experience in an administrative role, ideally within the media, education, or non-profit sector.
  • You have a keen interest in journalism, media literacy, and education.
  • Experience of administering finance procedures such as raising POs, processing invoices, requesting payments.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Communicates clearly and confidently, presents information effectively, surfacing any issues as they arise.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), Zoom, Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides).
  • Experience with CRM tools such as Salesforce would also be beneficial.

This role is predominantly based in our office in London and partially working from home. Many of our staff work flexibly and we will consider all requests for flexible working arrangements, including job shares.

You’ll have 30 days of annual leave per year (plus bank holidays) with the option to purchase an additional 5 days. Our pension scheme is generous; if you contribute 5% then we will contribute 8-12% (depending on your age). We believe in giving back, which is why employees are given 2 volunteering days annually and the option of payroll giving. Season ticket loans are also available.
