We are looking for a Salesforce Developer to join the Supporter Revenue Platform team in our product and engineering department.
The Platform team works primarily with business stakeholders and focuses on supporting the Growth area of Supporter Revenue, ensuring efficient Salesforce Service Cloud tooling and data flows across the organisation.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders in the Growth area to shape Salesforce Service Cloud tooling for GNM’s Contact Centre and Guardian Help Centre.
- Develop new features in Salesforce using Apex, Lightning Web Components, and declarative configuration, selecting the most appropriate tool for each problem.
- Integrate Salesforce with internal services and third‑party software such as Big Query, Zuora, Stripe, Pay Pal, and Go Cardless.
- Provide occasional third‑line support for complex queries and troubleshoot production issues.
- Modernise deployment pipelines and testing processes to align with agile practices.
- Contribute to product and technical decisions as part of a cross‑functional, rapidly iterating team.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience working with the Salesforce platform, including Apex, Lightning Web Components, and declarative configuration.
- Knowledge of best practices, engineering principles and platform features.
- Comfortable collaborating with stakeholders to implement meaningful changes.
- Experience working in a cross‑functional team in an agile environment.
- Salesforce Platform Developer or Salesforce Agentforce Specialist certification is not required but relevant experience is desirable.
Benefits
- The salary for new Salesforce Developers at the Guardian is £57,000 per year.
- You’ll have 30 days of annual leave per year (plus bank holidays) with the option to purchase an additional 5 days.
- The pension scheme is generous; if you contribute 5% then we will contribute 8‑12% (depending on your age).
- Employees are given 2 volunteering days annually and the option of payroll giving.
- Season ticket loans are also available.
