We are looking for a Senior Product Data Analyst to drive insights, guide decisions and nurture a 'test and learn' culture within our Product & Engineering department. As a Senior Analyst you will demonstrate analytical best practice through hands-on delivery of projects and encouraging others to understand user behaviour through rigorous testing and measurement. In your daily responsibilities, you will tackle high-impact product challenges using robust technical expertise, compelling storytelling, and effective stakeholder engagement. You will champion data-driven measurement and rigorous experimentation to deepen the department's insight into user behaviour while promoting a culture of continuous learning. Additionally, you will contribute towards self-service analytics frameworks and training programs that empower product managers, designers, and engineers to run queries, build dashboards, and perform first-mile analysis independently. Working closely alongside UX Research and other insights functions, you will help to translate data into actionable recommendations that support decision-making at scale.
About the role:
- Maintain hands-on expertise in SQL and Python (or R) to build and query robust data models, specifically working with large datasets to support product development.
- Utilise BI tools like Tableau or Looker to monitor performance and apply statistical methods, including A/B testing and experimentation.
- Translate complex findings into well-structured narratives that make clear recommendations and aid decision making at all levels within P&E.
- Deliver insights impactfully by tailoring messages for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Contribute towards assisting others in the department to perform first-mile analysis independently.
- Efficiently balance a variety of projects, keeping key stakeholders updated on progress, blockers, and key outcomes.
- Collaborate closely with UX research and other insights functions to build a culture of data-driven decision making in P&E.
About you:
- Demonstrated experience in data insights, working in a digital product team.
- Experience translating data into insights that support business decisions, applying statistics to strategic problems.
- Experience in SQL and Excel/Google Sheets, Python (or R) in a data context.
- Experience with Tableau, or another data visualisation tool.
- Strong presentation skills, able to communicate insights clearly and engagingly.
- Collaborative approach, contributing to a team culture that is open to ideas and sharing feedback with a diverse group of stakeholders.
