Your Job
In the UK, Guardian is continually looking for talented individuals to help them continue their growth and presence in the regional market. All UK manufacturing is based at the plant in Goole, East Yorkshire, which has recently made a significant investment in a new furnace which uses advanced technology and will secure glass manufacturing at the site for the next 20 years. The plant can produce some of the most advanced and innovative energy-saving architectural glass on the market today. The plant is a lower-tier COMAH site which operates a 24/7 manufacturing environment.
Our Team
Reporting to the Engineering manager, you will ensure people, processes, and technologies are working at optimal performance to meet business objectives.
What You Will Do
- Develop, implement and improve maintenance strategies.
- Provide Leadership and coaching on Reliability issues utilising the KOCH Industries Principle-Based Management framework.
- Drive the development of a Reliability-based Culture.
- Criticality assessment and quantification, understanding of typical asset failure modes, root cause analysis (RCA), failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) & providing technical input to ensure key asset failures and consequences are identified and mitigation action recommended.
- Maintenance task standardisation, preventative, corrective, predictive activities
- Previous experience in Asset Management and Analytics is preferable, and expertise in different maintenance strategies using multiple condition monitoring techniques is essential for this role.
- Planning and implementation of CBM and PDM activities

- HND in Engineering
- An ability to communicate at all levels across the business and possess a good knowledge of presentation skills.
- Experience and understanding of Health & Safety and compliance requirements.
- Experience in leading, coaching and developing teams with the ability to build strong relationships across the plant.
