Guardian Glass is continually looking for talented individuals to help us grow our presence in regional and global markets. The UK manufacturing is based at our Goole, East Yorkshire plant, which has invested in a new furnace and will secure glass manufacture at the site for the next 20 years. The plant operates 24/7 and produces advanced energy-saving architectural glass. An exciting opportunity has arisen in the key position of Equipment Coatings Process Engineer to join our Coating team for architectural glass.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and optimize an equipment reliability strategy for architectural glass applications to meet quality, efficiency and sustainability objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Maintenance and Reliability, Production, Operations Excellence and Quality Assurance, to ensure flawless execution in the manufacturing line.
  • Be a contributor to positive people safety and drive an environmental and compliance culture within the Coater.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot coating process issues, implementing corrective actions to enhance process reliability and product performance.
  • Document process parameters, standard operating procedures, and best practices to ensure consistent production quality.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste in the coating process.
  • Lead complex projects in a team-based environment, providing coaching and knowledge sharing across the plant.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • HNC/HND in engineering related field.
  • Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to conduct root-cause analysis and implement effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a strong ability to work in a team environment.
  • Contribute mindset to identify opportunities to continually improve and transform yourself and the business.
  • An open and committed person who will embrace and apply our company culture.

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience as a Process Engineer in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
