This is a unique opportunity to work within our Extra Care Housing Schemes, supporting residents to live safely and independently in their own apartments.
This role has no scheduled care calls.
Instead, you'll provide a reassuring on-site presence, offering support whenever it's needed, responding to emergency alarms, and promoting the wellbeing of residents throughout your shift.
Whether you're providing reassurance after a fall, responding to an emergency call, supporting with mobility, or simply spending time with residents to reduce loneliness, you'll play a vital role in creating a safe, welcoming community.
- What you’ll do
- Provide a visible, reassuring presence throughout the Extra Care scheme.
- Respond quickly to emergency alarms and resident requests for assistance.
- Deliver personal care when required with dignity, compassion and respect.
- Support residents with mobility, medication, nutrition and general wellbeing.
- Build positive relationships and offer companionship to help reduce isolation.
- Encourage residents to remain as independent as possible.
- Promote participation in social activities and community life within the scheme.
- Work closely with the on-site care team to ensure residents receive safe, high-quality support.
