All UK manufacturing is based at our plant in Goole, East Yorkshire which has recently made significant investment in a new furnace using the latest technology and secures glass manufacture at the site for the next 20 years. The plant, which operates 24/7, can produce some of the most advanced and innovative energy saving architectural glass on the market today.

An exciting opportunity has arisen in the key position of Facilities and Compliance Engineer responsible for undertaking and leading the Facilities and compliance needs. The successful candidate will support the manufacturing operations to maintain and improve the delivery of compliance and assurance. The role is suitable for engineering or facilities engineering.

  • Create and maintain a safe working environment by promoting a zero-accidents culture and actively contributing to our site SHE (Safety, Health, and Environment) objectives.
  • Oversee the condition and fabrication of buildings. Lead logical, cost-effective improvements and enhancements.
  • Take responsibility for controlling environmental impacts and ensuring full compliance with all legislative requirements.
  • Ensure the safety of both processes and personnel, particularly with industrial services plant and equipment. Oversee everything from design and installation to routine safety inspections and audits.
  • Own the cost-monitoring processes for industrial services and buildings. Identify opportunities for energy and water savings, driving improvements that positively impact the bottom line.

Required profile:

  • HNC in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Process)
  • A proven track record of achieving targets, driving improvements, and managing budgets effectively.
  • Hands-on experience with industrial boilers, steam systems, Pressure systems safety regulations, water treatment, refrigeration, legionella management, RO plants, sewage treatment, air conditioning, and more.
  • A continuous improvement mindset that drives innovation and efficiency.
  • Possess a contribution mindset to identify opportunities to continually improve and transform yourself and the business.
  • The ability to collaborate effectively with equipment and utility suppliers, as well as contractors, ensuring smooth operations and cost-effectiveness.
  • Youll lead by example, delivering professionalism and reliability, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and cost effectiveness.
  • A commitment to safety and quality, maintaining an unwavering intolerance for unsafe situations in relation to product quality, people, and the environment.
