Job Description: Guardian Electrical Compliance are seeking a Senior Remedial Electrician to join our team on a permanent contract. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, assessing, and remediating electrical faults, failures, and degradation in various electrical systems. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills and a proactive approach to resolving issues, ensuring that safety standards and performance requirements are always met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fault Diagnosis and Remediation: Identify, assess, and rectify faults in single-phase and three-phase electrical systems, focusing on achieving 1st-time fixes.
- Electrical Repairs & Installations: Carry out electrical repairs, including minor works on a variety of LV installations.
- Parts & Equipment Management: Assess and order necessary parts and equipment for specific tasks.
- Maintenance Coordination: Liaise with the Remedials / Operations Supervisor to ensure alignment with planned maintenance schedules and reporting procedures.
- Adherence to Industry Standards: Ensure all work is conducted per industry standards and regulations, including the latest safety protocols.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all work undertaken and ensure required paperwork is completed within defined timescales.
- Flexible Working: Participate in flexible working hours, including occasional travel away from home, weekend work, and site-based travel.
- Continued Professional Development (CPD): Undertake ongoing training and development to maintain knowledge of electrical systems, regulations, and health & safety standards.
- Team & Independent Work: Work independently or as part of a team to ensure minimal disruption to clients’ operations while completing electrical remedial work safely and efficiently.
- Customer Liaison: Provide excellent communication and interpersonal skills when liaising with clients, ensuring the effective delivery of electrical remedial works with minimal impact on day-to-day activities.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay up to date with current electrical legislation, regulations, and standards, ensuring compliance in all projects.
- Reporting & IT Skills: Generate legible, accurate, and concise reports using CRM systems. Training will be provided, but a basic understanding of IT would be advantageous.
Essential Skills Required:
- Strong electrical knowledge for testing and installation works in a commercial and industrial setting.
- Extensive experience in fault finding and first-time fixes on single and three-phase systems.
- Ability to carry out electrical repairs and minor works on low voltage (LV) installations.
- Proficient in managing parts, equipment, and resources for individual tasks.
- Strong understanding of electrical legislation, regulations, and safety standards.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in 24-hour operational environments.
- Proactive, self-driven, and capable of working on initiative.
- Good IT skills or a willingness to learn to produce accurate reports.
Qualifications Required:
- Recognised time-served electrical apprenticeship in Contracting, Maintenance, or Mining, with the relevant qualification. (Essential)
- IET BS7671: 2018 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification. (Essential)
- City & Guilds Inspection, Testing, and Certification of Electrical Installations (2391-2400) or equivalent. (Preferred)
- CSCS Safety Passport or equivalent health and safety card. (Essential)
Advantageous Qualifications:
- IPAF (Powered Access)
- PASMA (Mobile Access Towers)
- First Aid certification
Additional Job Details:
- Full-Time Position: Available immediately.
- Hours: Contracted 45 hours per week (Overtime Guaranteed).
- Salary Bracket: £46.5k to £65k (Including Travel Time)
- Location: Maidstone and surrounding areas
