The Role
As a Planning Assistant, you will support the operational and project teams with scheduling, coordination, and communication. You will assist in planning site visits, assigning engineers, tracking job progress, and ensuring that all documentation and client communication are up to date and accurate.
Key Responsibilities
- Liaise with clients and contractors to confirm appointments and access requirements
- Monitor project timelines, ensuring deadlines and service level agreements are met
- Maintain accurate records of site activities, permits, and remedial works
- Support the preparation of reports, quotes, and compliance documents
- Work closely with the planning and compliance team to update internal systems
Experience & Knowledge Required
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Excellent communication – both written and verbal
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks at once
- Experience with planning, scheduling, or coordination in a technical or construction environment
- IT literate – able to use Excel, email, scheduling software, and internal database
