The Role
We are seeking a detail‑oriented and experienced Electrical Inspector to join our team at Guardian Electrical Compliance. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) across a variety of commercial and industrial sites, ensuring all electrical systems are fully compliant with industry standards and safety regulations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conduct thorough EICRs in commercial and industrial settings.
- Identify and report defects, safety hazards, and non‑compliance issues.
- Provide clear, detailed reports with recommendations for corrective actions.
- Stay up to date with BS 7671, IET Wiring Regulations, and industry best practices.
- Communicate findings effectively with clients and offer expert technical advice.
- Ensure safety protocols and company standards are always followed.
Qualifications required:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical inspection or a related field.
- City & Guilds 2391-52 (or equivalent) qualification in Inspection and Testing.
- NVQ Level 3 Qualification.
- IET BS7671:2018 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.
- In‑depth knowledge of BS 7671, IET Wiring Regulations, and other relevant standards and codes.
- Valid UK driving licence.
Additional job details:
- Position Type: Permanent, full time (available immediately).
- Salary range: £48,367.80 base salary (with travel pay included, total annual earnings range from £55k to £77k).
- Location: Guildford.
- Annual leave: 22 days of annual leave plus 8 bank holidays.
