The Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Electrical Inspector to join our team at Guardian Electrical Compliance. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting Electrical Installations Condition Reports (EICRs) across a variety of commercial and industrial sites, ensuring all electrical systems are fully compliant with industry standards and safety regulations. You will use your expertise to identify potential hazards, document non-compliance issues, and provide actionable recommendations to clients.

As part of our growing team, you will play a critical role in helping our clients maintain safe and compliant electrical installations while benefiting from continuous professional development and working with cutting-edge technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough EICRs in commercial and industrial settings.
  • Identify and report defects, safety hazards, and non-compliance issues.
  • Provide clear, detailed reports with recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Stay up to date with BS 7671, IET Wiring Regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Communicate findings effectively with clients and offer expert technical advice.
  • Ensure safety protocols and company standards are always followed.

Qualifications Required:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical inspection or a related field.
  • City & Guilds 2391-52 (or equivalent) qualification in Inspection and Testing.
  • NVQ Level 3 Qualification
  • IET BS7671:2018 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.
  • In-depth knowledge of BS 7671, IET Wiring Regulations, and other relevant standards and codes.
  • Valid UK driving licence.

  • Position Type: Permanent, Full Time
  • Salary Range: ÂŁ46,519.65 – ÂŁ48,722 base salary (With travel pay included, total annual earnings range from ÂŁ55k to ÂŁ77k)
  • Location: Birmingham
  • Annual Leave: 22 days of annual leave plus 8 bank holidays
