As we continue to expand our home care services, we are looking for a proactive, driven and relationship-focused Business Development Manager to join our growing team.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who understands the care sector, enjoys building relationships and has the ambition to develop into a broader leadership role within the business. As Business Development Manager, you will play a key role in growing our service by developing referral relationships, generating and converting new client opportunities, carrying out initial care assessments and ensuring prospective clients and their families receive an exceptional experience from their very first contact with us.
You will work closely with the Business Manager, Registered Manager and wider Leadership Team, giving you exposure to both the commercial and operational management of a successful home care business.

You will receive structured support, mentoring and hands-on development to broaden your experience beyond business development into the wider commercial and operational management of a branch. As you demonstrate your ability to grow a sustainable service, lead people, manage performance and understand the operational requirements of the business, you will have the opportunity to develop towards taking responsibility for your own branch.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Developing local business opportunities and supporting sustainable growth
- Growing our client base within our territory from Hedge End-Winchester-Salisbury-Southampton-New Forest-Andover
- Generating new client enquiries and developing referral opportunities
- Managing prospective client enquiries from initial contact through to commencement of care
- Meeting prospective clients and their families to understand their individual care requirements
- Carrying out initial client assessments and supporting the development of appropriate care proposals
- Following up enquiries and converting suitable opportunities into new packages of care
- Building strong relationships with healthcare and social care professionals, commissioners, community organisations and other referral partners
- Developing relationships with hospitals, GP practices, community teams and local organisations
- Representing Guardian Angel Carers at networking events, community events and professional meetings
- Developing awareness of our domiciliary and live-in care services across the local community
- Working closely with the operational team to ensure new care packages can be delivered safely and effectively
- Supporting the smooth handover and onboarding of new clients into the care management team
- Contributing to the wider commercial and operational development of the business
What We’re Looking For
- Experience within sales sector, health, social care, home care or a related sector
- Ambitious and interested in progressing into senior business or branch management
- Strong understanding of person-centred care
- Commercially aware and understands the importance of profitable, sustainable growth
- Confident developing professional relationships and generating new opportunities
- Comfortable meeting prospective clients and families in their own homes
- Can confidently discuss care needs and explain our services in a compassionate and professional way
- Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
- Proactive, organised and able to manage multiple priorities
- Confident following up opportunities and converting enquiries into clients
- Can analyse performance and take ownership of results
- Excellent computer and administrative skills
- Can work independently while contributing positively to the wider team
- Demonstrates professionalism, integrity, compassion and reliability
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
- Previous experience in business development, sales, care assessments, care management, care coordination, client relationship management or branch operations within domiciliary care would be particularly advantageous.
