Role Overview

In this role, you will manage a caseload of clients at Slough Probation Trust. Your clients will be within 6-12 months of release, and your primary focus will be ensuring they have the necessary through-the-gate support, with key areas and a clear plan in place for their release.

You will meet with your clients one-to-one to discuss and plan activities around housing, resettlement, healthcare, education, wellbeing, life skills, and employment. You will deliver 1:1 sessions on these themes and signpost to services both within the prison and upon release to ensure ongoing support.

Candidate Requirements

  • Experience working with individuals within the criminal justice system, either in a prison or custodial setting, is required.
  • Alternatively, experience supporting vulnerable clients in areas such as mental health, substance abuse, or homelessness is valuable.
  • Criminology graduates with relevant volunteer experience (such as working with clients facing similar challenges) are encouraged to apply.
