Senior Procurement Manager at Gü Desserts
This is an exciting time to join Gu Puds as a Procurement Manager – this position reports to the Head of Procurement and plays a critical role in managing day-to-day procurement activities, optimising pricing and ensuring effective supplier relationships to support the organisation’s goals and objectives.
Hybrid (3 days on site, 2 days working from home)
Monday to Friday

The Procurement Manager Role:
- Partner closely with the Head of Procurement to develop and execute strategic procurement initiatives aimed at optimising cost savings, mitigating risks, and enhancing supplier relationships.
- Lead the sourcing of new ingredients for NPD projects.
- Support continuous improvement efforts within the procurement function, identifying opportunities to increase efficiency and enhance effectiveness.
- Manage day-to-day interactions with suppliers, negotiating contracts and terms, resolving supply chain issues, and monitoring supplier performance against key metrics.
- Analyse spend data to develop strategies to optimise costs and improve profitability, leveraging market insights, and alternative sourcing options.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs, specifically for NPD projects.
- Stay informed about market trends, supplier capabilities, and industry developments to proactively identify opportunities or risks within the supply chain.
The Person:
- Proven experience in procurement management, preferably within the food or manufacturing industry.
- Excellent negotiation skills and a track record of successful supplier relationship management.
- In-depth knowledge of procurement best practices, supply chain dynamics, and market trends.
- Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis to inform decision-making.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Results-oriented with a focus on achieving cost reduction targets, de-risking strategies, and driving innovation in sourcing.
Skills:
- Experience with implementing procurement technologies and systems (ERP, e-procurement tools) to streamline processes and improve visibility.
- Knowledge of sustainability practices and sustainable sourcing.
- Project management skills to effectively lead cross-functional initiatives and drive process.
- Extensive experience in Procurement roles.
