We are seeking a highly motivated Logistics & Inventory Planner – Europe to join our team and manage the French supply chain from end to end, with a focus on delivering excellent service, minimising stock waste, and controlling inventory efficiently. You will play a pivotal role in optimising our supply chain operations, ensuring that French retailers receive exceptional service with a keen focus on stock management.
Key Responsibilities:- Demand Planning: Collect and analyse data from internal and external sources affecting demand. Manage customer forecasts by confirming activities and dates provided by sales and retailers. Analyse sales, stock, and other key data statistics to optimise forecasts. Create, update, and issue production tasks to factories and third-party logistics (3PLs). Build consensus forecasts and provide weekly updates to all third parties. Continuously monitor shelf life of stock to balance optimum service levels and minimise waste. Lead new projects and initiatives in demand planning and stock management.
- Stock Management: Provide weekly and monthly reports comparing SAP transactions to distributor shipments, ensuring accurate order capture. Conduct detailed analysis of all discrepancies in stock levels and provide solutions. Investigate and correct any negative stock or batch code issues. Identify short-dated products and work with the sales team to determine the most cost-effective exit strategy. Complete traceability tasks as required.
- Customer Relationship Management: Respond to customer demands and issues, including stock shortages, delivery delays, and invoicing discrepancies. Offer solutions to customers regarding short deliveries, with the option to reorganise deliveries where possible. Negotiate concessions with customers in relation to supply chain issues.
- Administration: Conduct daily checks with 3PL’s to ensure returns and rejections are processed on SAP for accurate stock and invoicing. Manually create orders and outbound shipments for non-EDI customers in SAP.
- Analysis & Reporting: Provide daily, weekly, and monthly updates, including analysis of service levels, volume fluctuations, promotional uplift, and wastage. Estimate logistics costs for France and international markets and provide monthly updates to Finance. Perform forecast accuracy analysis and present findings.
- Strong experience in the FMCG supply chain, with strong knowledge of inventory management, customer delivery, and forecasting.
- Experience using SAP.
- Strong ability to analyse data and identify key trends or issues.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Fluent French.
