The predicted salary is between 30000 - 42000 £ per year.

Location: Bishops Stortford

Shift: 7pm to 7am, 4 days on, 4 days off

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be ensuring the smooth running of the factory by:

  • Resolving predominately mechanical and electrical breakdowns
  • Delivering maintenance and driving improvements across the site in terms of new machinery, hygiene, quality, and performance
  • Carrying out all maintenance across the factory, in both low care and high care environments
  • Working with the engineering team to test, install, and commission new equipment
  • Attending to breakdowns onsite ensuring rapid response and minimising plant equipment and machinery breakdown time
  • Reducing downtime of site plant and machinery
  • Carrying out repairs to plant and equipment during production, effectively and efficiently
  • Carrying out PPM onsite while ensuring a proactive approach to planned maintenance and a high PPM output
  • Delivering on plant uptime and maintenance KPIs through planned, preventative & predictive maintenance
  • Delivering improvement work on machinery and site improvement work
  • Managing Engineering time effectively to ensure low Engineering downtime

You: Minimum of 3 years’ engineering experience ideally within food manufacturing. Multi-skilled with formal engineering qualification to NVQ Level 3 or higher, in an electrical or mechanical subject. Nationally recognised apprenticeship in an engineering discipline.
