Are you an experienced Engineering Manager ready to take ownership of a high-performing site and make a lasting impact? We're looking for a hands-on leader who can inspire our engineering teams, deliver exceptional reliability, and drive continuous improvement across our operations.

About the Role

As our Engineering Manager, you'll lead a team of skilled engineers, ensuring our maintenance and improvement programmes deliver outstanding machine availability, uptime, and efficiency. You'll take the lead on OEE performance, develop robust maintenance schedules, and manage a multi-million-pound budget — all while fostering a culture of safety, quality, and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate, and develop a team of shift engineers to deliver best-in-class performance.
  • Drive OEE improvement programmes, focusing on machine availability and operational speed.
  • Manage maintenance budgets, service contracts, and statutory inspections.
  • Oversee PPM delivery, spares management, and CI initiatives across the site.
  • Support the introduction and operationalisation of new lines and equipment.
  • Report on key KPIs and use data-driven insights to inform continuous improvement.

About You

You're a proactive, credible leader with proven engineering management experience within the food industry. You thrive on solving problems, optimising performance, and developing your team. With a mechanical or electrical background (HNC/HND or higher), you bring both the technical expertise and leadership skills to deliver real, measurable results. You'll also have:

  • A strong commitment to safety and compliance.
  • Experience managing multi-million-pound budgets.
  • A track record of delivering sustainable performance improvements.
  • Excellent communication and people management skills.
  • A commercial mindset with a focus on cost efficiency and reliability.
