Are you a skilled Mechanical Fitter looking for a new challenge in a growing company? GTS Maintenance is expanding and we're looking for enthusiastic, hard-working individuals to join our team. With over 40 years of industry experience, we deliver expert nitrogen, maintenance, and industrial cleaning services to the utilities and engineering sectors across the UK.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work on varied and rewarding projects within the water industry. From digester roof builds and pipework repairs to PV valve servicing and industrial cleaning, you'll be part of a team that takes pride in delivering high-quality work and maintaining strong client relationships.
Role Responsibilities:
- Interpreting and working to technical installation drawings
- Carrying out welding and fabrication tasks on site
- Operating site-specific power tools and equipment
- Supporting pipework and equipment installation
- Following instructions from Site Supervisors and Contract Managers
- Maintaining high standards of health and safety
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- CSCS Card (Labourer minimum)
- Mechanical qualification
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable:
- Experience on water utilities sites
- Confined Spaces certification
- Coded welding qualifications (BS EN 1090 or equivalent)
- CPCS/NPORS tickets
- Additional site-related qualifications (e.g. IPAF, PASMA, Compex)
