Role Description
The Site Manager – Wastewater Industry is a full-time, on-site role based at Minworth overseeing day‑to‑day operations on wastewater treatment and related industrial sites. The role includes planning and coordinating maintenance and industrial cleaning activities, supervising site teams, and ensuring work is delivered safely, on schedule, and to client specifications. The Site Manager monitors site performance, manages resources and equipment, liaises with clients and subcontractors, and maintains accurate records and reports. Responsibilities also include enforcing health, safety, and environmental standards, supporting risk assessments and method statements, and resolving operational issues as they arise. The person in this role will contribute to continuous improvement in site processes and support the development and training of team members.
Qualifications
- Experience managing site operations within the water or utilities sector, including coordination of maintenance and industrial cleaning activities.
- Strong people management skills, with the ability to lead, motivate and develop multi‑disciplinary site teams and work effectively with clients and subcontractors.
- Solid understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations, and experience preparing or implementing risk assessments and method statements.
- Competence in planning, scheduling, and resource allocation, with good organizational and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, such as mechanical drawings, maintenance plans, and site specifications.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear reports and operational documentation.
- Relevant industry qualifications or certifications (e.g., NVQ or equivalent in engineering/maintenance, IOSH/NEBOSH safety training) are beneficial.
- Previous experience working with digester systems, nitrogen services, or mechanical maintenance in the water industry is an advantage.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel between sites as required.
