Production Engineer Location: Bedfordshire Salary: 50,000- 55,000 We are currently looking for someone to join an established engineering and manufacturing business as a Production Engineer, supporting the transition of new and existing products into efficient, repeatable production. Main role overview: * Take ownership of manufacturing and test processes across electronics and electromechanical products, ensuring quality, reliability, cost and delivery targets are achieved. * Lead and improve New Product Introduction (NPI) processes, working closely with Engineering to ensure designs are optimised for manufacture and test. * Develop and implement effective manufacturing methods, production fixtures, test processes and detailed work instructions. * Drive continuous improvement through Lean / Six Sigma principles, process optimisation and data-led performance improvements. * Work closely with production teams, suppliers and subcontract manufacturers to resolve issues and improve manufacturing capability. Requirements: * Proven experience in Production Engineering within electronics or Electro-Mechanical manufacturing. * Strong understanding of NPI, Design for Manufacture (DFM) and Design for Test (DFT) principles. * Experience developing manufacturing processes, test methods, fixtures and work instructions. * Working knowledge of Lean / Six Sigma and continuous improvement technique...
