Electronics / PCB Inspector Location: Bedfordshire Salary: Up to £32,000 per annum

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Electronics / PCB Inspector to join our team in Bedfordshire.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of electronic assemblies, PCBs and quality inspection.

You will be responsible for inspecting electronic assemblies throughout the production process, ensuring products meet the required quality standards, specifications and workmanship requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect PCBs and electronic assemblies to drawings, specifications and quality standards.
  • Carry out visual and dimensional inspection of electronic components and assemblies.
  • Identify defects, workmanship issues and non-conformances.
  • Use inspection equipment and test tools where required.
  • Review production documentation and ensure inspection records are completed accurately.
  • Work closely with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues.
  • Support investigations into defects and help identify root causes.
  • Ensure products comply with relevant industry and company standards.
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail at all times.

The successful candidate will ideally have

  • Previous experience in electronics, PCB inspection or electronic manufacturing.
  • A good understanding of PCB assembly and electronic components.
  • Experience inspecting solder joints and identifying PCB assembly defects.
  • The ability to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to inspection.
  • Good communication and organisational skills.
  • The ability to work independently as well as part of a wider production/quality team.
  • Experience with IPC-A-610 or other relevant electronics workmanship standards would be highly advantageous
