We’re looking for an experienced and detail-focused PCB Inspector to join our team in Bedford.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong eye for detail and a background in electronics manufacturing, PCB inspection or quality control.

The Role

As a PCB Inspector, you’ll be responsible for inspecting assembled printed circuit boards to ensure they meet our quality standards and customer requirements.

You’ll identify defects, carry out visual and technical inspections, and work closely with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect PCBs and electronic assemblies for defects and workmanship standards.
  • Carry out visual inspection of components, solder joints and assemblies.
  • Identify and document faults, defects and non-conformances.
  • Work from drawings, specifications and inspection criteria.
  • Use appropriate inspection equipment and tools.
  • Liaise with production and engineering teams to investigate and resolve issues.
  • Maintain accurate inspection and quality records.
  • Ensure products meet required quality and industry standards.
  • Support continuous improvement and quality initiatives.

About You

We’re looking for someone who is

  • Experienced in PCB inspection, electronics manufacturing or a similar quality role.
  • Ideally certified to IPC standard in the past, or have had expose to IPC Class 1, 2 and 3 standards
  • Highly detail-oriented with excellent attention to quality.
  • Comfortable working from technical drawings and specifications.
  • Able to identify soldering, component placement and assembly defects.
  • Methodical, reliable and organised.
