We’re looking for an experienced Mechanical Fitter with a strong background in machine build and assembly to join a manufacturing team in Hertfordshire on a 12-month contract.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building machinery and mechanical assemblies from engineering drawings, with a good eye for detail and a practical, problem-solving approach.

Key skills & experience:

  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter / Mechanical Assembler
  • Strong machine build and assembly experience
  • Ability to read and work from engineering drawings
  • Experience with mechanical installation, alignment and assembly
  • Good understanding of mechanical systems and components
  • Strong attention to detail and quality
  • Wiring, electrical assembly, commissioning or testing experience is a bonus

The role offers:

  • £28–£29 per hour (Umbrella) - This role is INSIDE IR35
  • 12-month contract minimum - likely to be extended
  • Based in Central Hertfordshire
  • Opportunity to work on interesting machinery and equipment within a skilled engineering environment
