Are you an experienced Mechanical Technician looking for your next challenge in a dynamic, high-performance engineering environment? We are supporting an aerospace client in their search for a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join their team. This role is key in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of specialist testing equipment and mechanical services on site. You will be working with high-spec industrial systems that support advanced aerospace testing – helping to shape the future of flight.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs of mechanical systems and testing equipment.
- Respond to breakdowns, performing fault-finding and reactive maintenance in line with supervisory guidance.
- Install new plant and equipment, providing input on design improvements and implementation strategies.
- Follow all Health, Safety and Environmental procedures, contributing to risk assessments and method statements.
- Ensure full compliance with site security protocols.
- Participate as a member of the Emergency Response Team, as required.
What We’re Looking For:
- Completion of a recognised Mechanical Apprenticeship or significant experience in industrial mechanical maintenance.
- Mechanical assemblies including rotating/reciprocating components (e.g. gears, chains, actuating rods).
- A team player with the ability to coach and mentor less experienced colleagues.
- A flexible and proactive mindset, ready to take ownership and go the extra mile.
- High attention to detail, quality-focused and safety-conscious.
- Strong communication skills and a can-do attitude to problem-solving.
Knowledge of the following would be advantageous:
- High-pressure compressed air systems.
- Water cooling and treatment systems.
- Lubrication and hydraulic systems.
