GTS are recruiting on behalf of a leading UK manufacturer of innovative passenger transport vehicles. Due to continued growth, we're looking for skilled individuals to join an established production team building high-quality commercial and passenger vehicles used across the UK and internationally.

If you have experience within coachbuilding, commercial vehicles, bus manufacturing, automotive assembly or specialist vehicle production, we'd love to hear from you.

As a Coachbuilder / Mechanical Fitter, you'll be responsible for assembling and fitting passenger vehicles to the highest standards, working from engineering drawings and build instructions within a modern manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on role where quality, attention to detail and teamwork are essential.

  • Mechanical assembly and vehicle fitting
  • Coachbuilding and body assembly
  • Installation of seating, flooring, accessibility equipment and interior trim
  • Fitting doors, glazing, body panels and vehicle components
  • Working from engineering drawings and technical instructions
  • Carrying out quality inspections throughout the build process
  • Supporting production targets while maintaining exceptional workmanship

Experience required:

  • Experience working from engineering drawings
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Knowledge of aluminium, steel, composites and vehicle trim materials
  • A proactive attitude and the ability to work as part of a skilled production team

Working hours: Monday-Thursday, 07:00-17:00 (4-day working week)
