We’re working with a highly advanced, fast-paced operation seeking a Shift Engineer to support a complex automated environment. This is a hands-on role at the heart of a high-performing site, focused on keeping systems running at peak efficiency while driving continuous improvement.
What you’ll be doing:
- Delivering planned and reactive maintenance across automated systems
- Diagnosing faults and carrying out effective repairs
- Working cross-functionally to improve equipment reliability and performance
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and engineering projects
- Monitoring performance data and identifying optimisation opportunities
- Ensuring high standards of safety, housekeeping, and compliance
- Supervising contractors and supporting wider engineering teams
What we’re looking for:
- Strong electrical and/or mechanical background (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
- Experience within an automated, FMCG, or production environment
- Understanding of control systems / PLCs (desirable)
- A proactive problem-solver with solid analytical skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, shift-based environment
- Strong communication skills and a team-first mindset
