We’re working with a highly advanced, fast-paced operation seeking a Shift Engineer to support a complex automated environment. This is a hands-on role at the heart of a high-performing site, focused on keeping systems running at peak efficiency while driving continuous improvement.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Delivering planned and reactive maintenance across automated systems
  • Diagnosing faults and carrying out effective repairs
  • Working cross-functionally to improve equipment reliability and performance
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and engineering projects
  • Monitoring performance data and identifying optimisation opportunities
  • Ensuring high standards of safety, housekeeping, and compliance
  • Supervising contractors and supporting wider engineering teams

What we’re looking for:

  • Strong electrical and/or mechanical background (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
  • Experience within an automated, FMCG, or production environment
  • Understanding of control systems / PLCs (desirable)
  • A proactive problem-solver with solid analytical skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, shift-based environment
  • Strong communication skills and a team-first mindset
