What You’ll Do
- Lead the design of embedded software for next-generation space systems.
- Architect efficient and reliable firmware for microcontroller-based platforms.
- Implement secure and robust communication protocols for connected systems.
- Build automated testing frameworks and validation pipelines for firmware and hardware integration.
- Collaborate with hardware, systems, and mission engineers to deliver reliable solutions for space applications.
- Optimize systems for power efficiency and long-duration operation.
- Support debugging, integration testing, and system verification activities.
What You Bring to This Role
- Core Skills
- Programming Languages: Very strong proficiency in C.
- Embedded Systems: Experience working with microcontroller platforms such as ARM Cortex, ESP32, or STM32, including their development toolchains.
- Experience with Yocto, Buildroot or embedded Linux build systems.
- Knowledge of hardware communication protocols including SPI, I2C, UART, and GPIO.
- Experience developing secure firmware updates (OTA) and bootloaders.
- Knowledge of Test-Driven Development (TDD) or Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) practices.
Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
