Senior Civil/Structural Engineer – Bridges & Infrastructure Edinburgh | Permanent, Full-time Chartered or Incorporated Engineer A Leading Consultancy is looking for a Senior Bridge Engineer to take the lead in delivering exciting and technically challenging projects across the UK. You’ll be managing the full project lifecycle — from concept to completion — while working directly with clients, guiding talented teams, and shaping the future of our employee-owned business. What You’ll Do Lead the design, planning, and execution of engineering projects — with a focus on bridges and structural engineering . Develop conceptual designs, produce engineering drawings and reports, and ensure technical excellence and compliance . Oversee and review calculations, specifications, and technical reports . Manage project budgets, prepare tenders and fee proposals, and maintain strong client relationships . Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements . Mentor and develop junior engineers, fostering technical excellence within the team. Support business development through proposals and technical submissions. Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients for on-time, on-budget delivery . What We’re Looking For Degree in Civil Engineering (ICE-accredited). Chartered or Incorporated Engineer (ICE or related body). 5 years ’ experience in bridges and structural engineering . Strong technical, leadership, and project management skills. Excellent communicator with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset. Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation an advantage. PTS/Sentinel Track Safety beneficial. Flexibility for occasional site, overnight, or weekend work.
