A Leading Consultancy is looking for a Senior Bridge Engineer to take the lead in delivering exciting and technically challenging projects across the UK. You’ll be managing the full project lifecycle — from concept to completion — while working directly with clients, guiding talented teams, and shaping the future of our employee-owned business.

What You’ll Do
- Lead the design, planning, and execution of engineering projects — with a focus on bridges and structural engineering.
- Develop conceptual designs, produce engineering drawings and reports, and ensure technical excellence and compliance.
- Oversee and review calculations, specifications, and technical reports.
- Manage project budgets, prepare tenders and fee proposals, and maintain strong client relationships.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
- Mentor and develop junior engineers, fostering technical excellence within the team.
- Support business development through proposals and technical submissions.
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients for on-time, on-budget delivery.
What We’re Looking For
- Degree in Civil Engineering (ICE-accredited).
- Chartered or Incorporated Engineer (ICE or related body).
- 5+ years’ experience in bridges and structural engineering.
- Strong technical, leadership, and project management skills.
- Excellent communicator with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation an advantage.
- PTS/Sentinel Track Safety beneficial.
- Flexibility for occasional site, overnight, or weekend work.
