We're supporting a major rolling stock modification programme and are looking for an experienced Project Engineer to join the team on an initial 4‑week contract.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of structural modifications
- Review and develop installation methodologies, work instructions and engineering documentation
- Oversee vehicle modification activities including removal and replacement of structural components
- Liaise with design, production and depot teams to ensure safe and efficient implementation
- Support quality assurance, inspections and engineering sign-off activities
Requirements
- Rolling stock, rail or heavy engineering experience
- Strong mechanical or structural engineering background
- Experience producing or reviewing installation/work instructions
- Knowledge of depot-based modification projects
- Ability to work within multidisciplinary engineering teams
