A defence business with sites across Europe is hiring an IT Manager to own its EMEA technology operations. You'll be the point person for every site in the region, working hand in hand with a corporate IT team based in the US to keep systems aligned, secure, and running.
This isn't a back-office support role. You'll sit across infrastructure, cybersecurity, and end-user services, with real influence over how technology decisions get made across the business. Expect a mix of hands-on troubleshooting and strategic input, plus regular travel to sites across the region.
What you'll own
- Acting as the primary IT contact across EMEA sites, working closely with US corporate IT on global standards
- Leading and developing IT support teams, running system upgrades and technology refresh projects
- Device lifecycle management and Microsoft 365 administration across the region
- Network maintenance, infrastructure improvements, and keeping documentation current
- Supporting ISO 27001 and Cyber Essentials compliance alongside global cybersecurity teams
- Translating business requirements into technical solutions, working with Oracle ERP and enterprise systems
What you'll bring
- A degree in Computer Science, IT, or similar
- Solid experience managing enterprise network infrastructure and IT operations at scale
- A working knowledge of ISO 27001 and Cyber Essentials from an operations standpoint
- Strong people management and stakeholder communication skills
- Microsoft 365 administration experience; exposure to Active Directory, VMware, NetApp, or advanced TCP/IP networking is a bonus
Why this one's worth a look
You'd be running IT for a genuinely international footprint, working directly with global leadership on strategy rather than just executing someone else's roadmap. Regional travel, a collaborative team, and a business that takes cybersecurity and infrastructure investment seriously.
Important: this role sits within the defence sector, which means candidates must already hold the right to work in the relevant country without sponsorship. Applications from candidates requiring visa sponsorship can't be considered.
