We’re looking for a hands-on, detail-focused Production Technician to join a close-knit and supportive team in Oxford. This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the heart of high-precision manufacturing, where safety, accuracy and continuous improvement are key.
You’ll be involved in the operation and maintenance of specialised chambers used for testing high-performance devices, working closely with engineering, quality and production teams. What you’ll be doing:
- Assembling and disassembling test chambers, identifying components to technical drawings
- Setting up and operating firing mechanisms safely and accurately
- Loading, arming, and firing high-performance components
- Collecting and analysing test data and updating internal systems (SAP)
- Pressure testing chambers and using ovens, freezers, and conditioning chambers safely
- Ensuring all work is completed in line with technical notes, QA instructions, and engineering specifications
What we’re looking for:
- Ability to read and interpret basic engineering drawings
- Mechanical Assembly Skills
- Knowledge of oscilloscopes would be desirable but not essential
- Comfortable working under time pressure and managing priorities to hit deadlines
- Familiar with health & safety procedures in a workshop or production environment
