Are you an expert in DC power systems and battery technology? Do you have a passion for cutting-edge aerospace innovation? We are looking for a Power Systems Engineer to join a pioneering team working on aerospace technology.
About the Role:
As a Power Systems Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and integrating advanced DC power systems. You will work with battery technology and battery management systems (BMS), ensuring they meet international certification standards and operate at peak efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- DC Power System Design & Development β Lead the creation and integration of power solutions for aircraft.
- Battery Technology Testing & Evaluation β Assess and optimise the performance of battery cells and battery packs.
- Certification & Compliance β Work with third-party organisations to certify battery systems to international standards.
- Battery Management Systems (BMS) β Test and validate BMS performance on aircraft.
- Problem Solving & Fault Finding β Identify and resolve issues within complex DC electrical systems.
What Weβre Looking For:
- Expertise in Power System Architecture β Ideally within aerospace applications.
- Understanding of Battery Charge/Discharge Characteristics β Ability to develop test plans and interpret results.
- Experience with Certification & Compliance β Working with third parties to ensure regulatory approval.
- Hands-on Engineering Skills β Experience in managing assembly processes and working with suppliers.
- Technical Qualifications β A relevant degree in engineering plus 2+ years of experience in DC power systems.
- Project Management Ability β Capable of managing work packages, technicians, and suppliers to meet deadlines.
