GTS are currently recruiting Composite Laminators and Composite Trimmers / Fitters to support Formula 1 teams, motorsport programmes, and high-performance automotive manufacturers across the UK. You will be working on advanced carbon fibre components, producing performance-critical parts for Formula 1 cars, hypercars, and elite motorsport vehicles.

These roles offer long‑term rolling contracts, competitive hourly rates, multiple shift patterns, and immediate starts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Working from engineering drawings, ply books and layup manuals
  • Vacuum bagging, de‑bulking and curing processes
  • Producing high‑precision motorsport components
  • Trimming and finishing composite parts to Formula 1 standards
Composite Trimmer / Fitter Responsibilities
  • Trimming, drilling, bonding and fitting carbon fibre components
  • Working with jigs, fixtures and specialist tools
  • Preparing and assembling motorsport composite assemblies
  • Maintaining tight tolerances and high‑quality finishes
  • Supporting fast‑paced Formula 1 and motorsport production environments
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Composite Laminator or Composite Trimmer
  • Background in Formula 1, Motorsport, Aerospace, Defence or High‑Performance Automotive
  • Strong understanding of carbon fibre composites and pre‑preg layup techniques
  • Ability to read technical drawings, ply books and engineering documentation
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work to tight tolerances
  • Flexibility to work days, nights or weekend shifts
