Location: Greater Manchester

Salary: Approx. £17.50 per hour, paid weekly

Hours: 38 hours per week | Monday to Thursday | 7:00am - 5:00pm

GTS Group are looking for a Vehicle Assembly Technician to join a specialist vehicle conversion and preparation environment, working on high-quality ceremonial vehicles. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with experience in vehicle assembly, automotive fitting, vehicle conversions, manufacturing or workshop environments who takes real pride in the quality of their work.

You will be responsible for fitting and assembling a range of interior and exterior vehicle components, ensuring every vehicle is completed to a high standard and is right first time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out vehicle assembly and fitting activities across interior and exterior components.
  • Fit items including bumpers, carpets, door trims, interior fittings, glazing and other vehicle components.
  • Use a range of hand tools, air tools and electrical power tools safely and effectively.
  • Ensure all work meets required quality, presentation and production standards.
  • Work efficiently to meet production schedules and customer delivery deadlines.
  • Identify and report any quality, safety or production issues.
  • Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues while being capable of working independently.
  • Follow all relevant Health & Safety and production procedures.

About You

We're looking for someone with previous experience in an assembly, automotive, manufacturing or workshop environment. You'll ideally have:

  • Experience with vehicle assembly, fitting, trim, manufacturing or similar hands-on work.
  • Confidence using hand and power tools.
  • Good attention to detail and a strong focus on quality.
  • A practical, hands-on approach to problem solving.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good organisation and time management skills.
  • A reliable, proactive and positive approach to work.
  • A strong commitment to producing high-quality, right-first-time work.
  • Automotive experience is advantageous, but candidates from other precision assembly or manufacturing backgrounds with strong practical skills will also be considered.

Working Hours & Pay

Monday to Thursday 7:00am - 5:00pm 38 hours per week 30-minute unpaid lunch break Approx. £17.50 per hour Paid weekly Occasional overtime may be available to support customer delivery requirements.
