Are you an APM-qualified Junior Project Manager looking to kickstart your career in a cutting-edge engineering environment? My client – a specialist in advanced aerospace research and development – is seeking a motivated and detail-driven individual to support the successful delivery of technical projects across the business. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience managing complex programmes in a collaborative and highly skilled team.

What you'll be doing:

  • Support the coordination and delivery of technical projects from concept to completion
  • Assist in developing project documentation including business cases, schedules, risk registers, and status reports
  • Work closely with technical leads and stakeholders to track progress, identify risks, and ensure milestones are met
  • Help maintain project governance in line with company processes and best practice (APM)
  • Contribute to bid preparation and customer reporting activities
  • Support resource planning and cost control
  • Participate in internal reviews and continuous improvement initiatives

What we're looking for:

  • APM Project Fundamentals Qualification (PFQ) or higher
  • Previous experience (including placements or internships) within engineering, aerospace, defence, or a similar technical environment
  • A strong understanding of project lifecycles, scheduling, and risk management
  • Confident communicator with good written and verbal skills
  • Organised, adaptable, and proactive, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Eligible for security clearance (British Nationals only – no dual nationality, due to project requirements)
