Salary: £38,000 per annum (includes shift allowance)

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, Day Shift

About the Role

This role is customer-facing and requires a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and improving machine performance, ensuring minimal downtime, and delivering a professional engineering service that meets or exceeds customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver professional on-site engineering support to customers
  • Ensure equipment performance meets agreed service levels
  • Carry out corrective, planned, and preventative maintenance in line with OEM requirements
  • Diagnose and resolve breakdowns efficiently, aiming for first-time fixes
  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through daily interaction and support
  • Adhere to all Health & Safety regulations and company procedures
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and innovation
  • Manage spare parts usage and maintain accurate stock and service records
  • Ensure tools and equipment are maintained in safe, working order

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • Mechanical or Electrical qualification (Degree, Diploma, or equivalent experience preferred)
  • Proven experience with electro-mechanical equipment (packaging or document handling equipment advantageous)
  • Mechanical knowledge (minimum 1 year required)
  • Electrical experience (preferred)
  • Experience in a customer-facing engineering role
