About the Role
This role is customer-facing and requires a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and improving machine performance, ensuring minimal downtime, and delivering a professional engineering service that meets or exceeds customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver professional on-site engineering support to customers
- Ensure equipment performance meets agreed service levels
- Carry out corrective, planned, and preventative maintenance in line with OEM requirements
- Diagnose and resolve breakdowns efficiently, aiming for first-time fixes
- Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through daily interaction and support
- Adhere to all Health & Safety regulations and company procedures
- Identify opportunities for improvement and innovation
- Manage spare parts usage and maintain accurate stock and service records
- Ensure tools and equipment are maintained in safe, working order
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
- Mechanical or Electrical qualification (Degree, Diploma, or equivalent experience preferred)
- Proven experience with electro-mechanical equipment (packaging or document handling equipment advantageous)
- Mechanical knowledge (minimum 1 year required)
- Electrical experience (preferred)
- Experience in a customer-facing engineering role
