The Role

As a Junior Power Electronics Engineer, you will assist in the design, development, testing, and validation of advanced power electronic circuits and systems. You’ll work closely with experienced engineers across multiple disciplines to support R&D and product development activities from concept through to production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the design and simulation of power electronic circuits (e.g., DC-DC, AC-DC, inverters)
  • Assist with prototype assembly, testing, and debugging
  • Perform circuit analysis and validation using tools such as SPICE, MATLAB/Simulink
  • Contribute to technical documentation including design reports, test procedures, and manuals
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including firmware, mechanical, and systems engineers
  • Ensure compliance with relevant standards and support EMC/safety testing

Requirements

Essential:

  • Degree (BEng/MEng) in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field
  • Strong fundamental knowledge of power electronics and circuit theory
  • Experience with electronic circuit design and simulation tools
  • Good hands-on skills with electronics lab equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, etc.)
  • Enthusiastic, curious, and willing to learn in a dynamic environment
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Desirable:

  • Internship or academic project experience in power electronics
  • Familiarity with embedded systems and microcontrollers
  • Knowledge of thermal management, PCB layout, or magnetics
