Are you an experienced aviation or defence professional with a passion for training and operational excellence? Our client is seeking a Flight Training Lead to manage, coordinate, and deliver training for mission crew members within their Flight Operations team. This role ensures that crew members are fully trained, current, and competent for all operational flying activities, maintaining exceptionally high performance and safety standards. Additionally, you will serve as an RPAS Commander within the Mission Crew.

Key Responsibilities

  • Training Management – Develop and implement comprehensive training programmes, covering initial, recurrent, and specialised training.
  • Coordination – Schedule and oversee training sessions, ensuring all crew members stay fully compliant and up to date.
  • Instruction – Deliver theoretical and practical training to enhance crew proficiency.
  • Evaluation – Assess crew performance, providing constructive feedback to improve skills and knowledge.
  • Compliance & Documentation – Maintain detailed records and ensure all training meets regulatory and organisational standards.
  • Continuous Improvement – Regularly update training methods to incorporate cutting-edge industry advancements.
  • Operational Involvement – Complete the required RPAS Commander training and play an active role in mission operations.

What You’ll Need

  • Experience – Prior experience in a training role within aviation, defence, or RPAS operations.
  • Operational Background – Previous experience as an Aircraft or RPAS Commander.
  • Skills – Strong organisational, instructional, and communication skills. Ability to lead diverse teams and manage multiple training streams.
  • Certifications – Relevant training & development qualifications, plus any certifications essential for mission crew roles.
