What You’ll Be Doing

  • Designing permanent and temporary geotechnical works: foundations, retaining walls, slopes, earthworks and enabling works
  • Supporting tunnelling and pipeline design, including shafts and construction methodologies
  • Contributing to support-of-excavation designs for basements and underground structures
  • Planning and interpreting ground investigations and desk studies
  • Assessing ground movement, hydrogeological impacts, and potential building damage
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across civil, structural and bridge engineering
  • Embedding sustainability and circular economy principles into designs
  • Supporting site monitoring during construction and investigations

What We’re Looking For

  • ICE-accredited MEng or MSc in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering
  • 2–3 years’ post-graduate experience in geotechnical engineering or tunnelling (preferred)
  • Strong grounding in soil & rock mechanics and construction methods
  • Excellent time management and communication skills
  • Curious, proactive, collaborative, and keen to keep learning
