We are seeking a Client Project Delivery Manager to oversee the successful planning, execution, and completion of client projects. You will play a crucial role in ensuring seamless project delivery, stakeholder engagement, and continuous improvement in quality, cost, and risk management. Typical project values are under £1m, with 40-70% within that scope. You will manage 10-25 low-complexity projects per year.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end project delivery, from initial planning to final handover.
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
- Monitor project performance, ensuring objectives are met within agreed timeframes and budgets.
- Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to maintain project progress.
- Drive continuous improvement in project delivery processes.
Client Engagement
- Support the CSD in providing accurate and timely project updates.
- Build strong relationships with clients and internal commercial teams.
- Ensure client expectations are managed and any issues are addressed proactively.
Team Leadership
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure timely project execution.
- Assign tasks, track progress, and foster accountability across teams.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and mentoring to support team development.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including risk registers and progress reports.
- Ensure all documentation is accurate, up to date, and stored appropriately.
Skills & Experience Required
- Fluent English speaker with strong project management, construction, and engineering vocabulary.
- Proven experience in engineering or asset project management within a client-facing role.
- Solid understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., PRINCE2, Agile, PMP).
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple overlapping projects efficiently.
- Proficiency in project management tools (ideally MS Project).
- Experience in procurement, supplier management, and financial reporting.
