Electrical and Instrumentation Project Engineer

Instrumentation Engineer – Aerospace Testing & Calibration Our client is seeking an experienced Instrumentation Engineer to join their dynamic team. This role is central to the design, manufacture, installation, and maintenance of precision instrumentation. Manufacture bespoke wiring looms and assemblies in accordance with circuit drawings and wiring lists • Hand solder fine components both at the workbench and on models • Calibrate, maintain, test, and troubleshoot sensors, signal conditioning equipment, and data acquisition systems at the component level • Provide comprehensive instrumentation support across various testing projects • Prepare and install specialist optical measurement systems in test facilities • Maintain detailed records, manage equipment organisation, and ensure all work meets Health & Safety and Quality Standards • Work flexibly on a shift pattern (typically 07:00–15:00 and 14:00–22:00, with overtime as required) A relevant HNC/HND in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (or equivalent) • Demonstrable, hands-on experience in a similar R&D or commercial environment • Comfortable working in confined spaces and at heights, with a flexible approach to shift work
