SCADA Engineer / Technical Project Manager β Plymouth OUTSIDE IR35 Initial 6 Month Contract Β£350 - Β£400 Ltd Per Day This one's for someone who's outgrown the programming desk. You know SCADA inside out. You could still get hands-on with a system if you had to. But what you actually want now is to sit closer to the client, run the project, and make sure the technical decisions being made are the right ones - without being the person configuring tags at 6pm. That's this role. A major shore infrastructure upgrade at one of the UK's most sensitive naval sites needs a SCADA-literate Technical PM to provide oversight across a live redevelopment programme. You won't be reprogramming or redesigning the system. You'll be making sure the people who are doing that are doing it properly - coordinating, challenging, translating between engineering and delivery. What matters: Strong SCADA background β platform-agnostic, they care about judgment, not which package you've used Genuine project management or technical coordination experience Comfortable working client-side / consultancy-side rather than deep in the engineering Defence, naval or MOD exposure is a bonus, not a must BPSS clearance required; if you already hold it, that moves you to the front of the queue Quick start needed - they want someone identified now, not in a month. If you've spent years being the smartest SCADA person in the room and now want to run the room instead, message me.
