We’re supporting an innovative engineering organisation working at the forefront of complex electronic systems. Due to continued growth, they’re looking to bring in an Electronics Engineer with strong PCB design and testing experience to support ongoing product development. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys taking ownership across the full lifecycle—from schematic capture through to testing and validation.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Designing and reworking schematics (Altium-based) across a range of electronic systems
  • PCB layout for multi-layer boards, including high-speed and controlled impedance designs
  • Supporting both analogue and digital design activities (digital bias)
  • Creating cable drawings and supporting hardware documentation
  • Developing and executing test plans to validate designs
  • Building test jigs / harnesses to support verification
  • Debugging hardware using lab equipment (oscilloscopes, analysers, etc.)
  • Collaborating cross-functionally with engineering and production teams

What they’re looking for:

  • Proven experience with Altium Designer (essential)
  • Strong PCB layout skills (multi-layer, differential routing, DRC, etc.)
  • Experience across schematic design and hardware testing
  • Understanding of EMC and design for compliance
  • Ability to work across the full product lifecycle
  • Hands-on mindset with strong problem-solving capability

Nice to have:

  • Experience with high-speed design (DDR, BGA, RF or similar)
  • Microprocessors and embedded systems exposure (e.g. STM32)
  • Basic C/C++ for testing or embedded applications
  • Knowledge of motor control systems (BLDC / stepper)
  • Exposure to FPGA (Xilinx / VHDL / Verilog)
