As a Sales/Station Assistant GPR, you will be passionate about delivering outstanding customer service each and every time. You will often be the first point of contact our customers will meet on their journey, making this a vital role for enhancing our customers' day.
Please note this is a multi-functional role; you will be working on the Platform and in the Ticket Office. Due to the shift times, you must live in the local area and have available independent transport to ensure that you arrive at the station for the early shift, as there may not always be a train service available. All station-based roles may involve standing for long periods and working shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.
As a Sales/Station Assistant GPR, you must demonstrate a ‘can do' attitude, strong customer focus, and excellent communication skills, with the customer at the forefront. This role delivers customer service activity across the station, including ticket office and platform activities. On a day-to-day basis, you will be in the Ticket Office or on the station dispatching trains and proactively finding the right ticket for our customers while delivering excellent customer service to both new and regular customers.
We have the latest computer-based ticketing system, which can provide any information our customers may need and has direct access to our intranet. You will also be responsible for keeping the station operational and assisting customers where necessary.

Please note that as this role is a 'General Purpose Relief', you will be obliged to work at other stations in the area in addition to Bedford as and when required.
