GTR are recruiting an Engineering QMS Assurance Specialist based out of our Selhurst Depot. They will be expected to travel to all GTR locations and suppliers as required.
Responsibilities
- Reporting to the Engineering QMS manager providing direct support or advice to the wider GTR team and external partners and stakeholders in relation to the engineering directorates quality management system.
- Support the Engineering Directorates deployment and management of the quality management system.
- Undertake management and development of all Engineering policies and process standards, ensuring that they meet all mandatory requirements.
- Support the departmental document control and nonconformance processes.
- Support the continuous improvement programs by undertaking internal & external audits.
- Be a visible presence across the engineering directorate to support and promote compliance with the QMS.
Knowledge
- Possess relevant qualifications in engineering or quality management, possess or working towards membership through a monitored professional body.
- Knowledge of quality management standards.
- Knowledge of modern rolling stock maintenance practices.
- Knowledge of regulatory and standards framework in relation to rolling stock.
Experience
- Proven knowledge and experience of working within a quality management system environment, ideally within a large multifunctional organisation.
- Demonstrable experience of developing and applying regulatory and standards frameworks, ideally within an engineering working environment.
- Experience in implementing and auditing against ISO 9001, 45001, and 50001 standards, with a track record of driving compliance and continuous improvement.
