Join GTR's CCTV Team as a General Purpose Relief (GPR). We're looking for a dynamic and motivated individual to join GTR's CCTV Team. This exciting opportunity places you at the heart of our CCTV operations, supporting multiple functions and playing a key role in investigations across the network.
As a CCTV Evidence Gatherer, your primary responsibility will be to retrieve and provide CCTV footage from trains and stations across the GTR network. You'll use specialist tools to collect relevant data that supports investigations and ensures timely and professional delivery in line with data protection legislation.
As a GPR, you'll also be trained across all CCTV departments, enabling you to cover both the Profiling and Live Monitoring desks when needed. The live monitoring desk is a 24/7 role and as such you may be required to work nights. Profiling involves reviewing historical footage to support criminal, operational, and health & safety investigations. Live Monitoring requires sharp focus and clear communication, often relaying real-time information via airwave radio or other channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Retrieve and secure CCTV evidence from across the network.
- Support live monitoring and profiling operations.
- Work to strict timescales and maintain high standards of professionalism.
- Ensure all data handling complies with relevant legislation, including the Data Protection Act.
What We're Looking For
Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of IT systems, especially Microsoft Office. Understanding of relevant legislation (e.g., Data Protection Act).
Skills: Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal. Strong analytical and observational abilities. Ability to work effectively with a wide range of people. Commitment to maintaining and improving systems and practices.
Experience: Previous experience in a CCTV or similar environment is preferred.
